Events & Special Offers

Our beer festival is being held in our marquee infront of the river Teme. This upcoming September, our beer festival is being run on Friday 29th, Saturday 30th and Sunday 1st October 2017.

There will be live music playing on Friday from 'The Melvin Hancox Band' and Saturday from 'The Starving Rascals'.
Sunday 1st October, we will have the delight of a local band called' The Poor Boys of Worcester' performing through the afternoon.
Throughout the year we offer residential cookery courses.
These could be fish curing or game birds.
For both courses the day starts at 9.30 am and includes:
  • Arrival refreshments
  • Hot and cold buffet lunch
  • Afternoon tea or coffee with biscuits
  • 3 course restaurant dinner
  • Overnight accommodation
  • Full English breakfast
The following morning will be with Steve to provide a chance to ask any questions.
The first course will be very similar to the ones we held earlier in the year, so skinning, plucking and gutting, jointing and filleting and the cooking styles to include bain-marie, confit and braising.
The second one will gloss over the preparation, but will cover some butchery in more detail such as boning out. The cookery will be more advanced e.g. terrines, galantines, raised pies and there will also be more emphasis on presentation and service.
